Romain Diaz |
CEO, LPC, Psychotherapist
Welcome. I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in Dance and Movement Psychotherapy, holding a Master’s Degree in Creative Arts Therapy from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University. With nearly two decades of rich and varied experience, I've navigated multiple settings, including inpatient and outpatient programs, telehealth, and diverse educational environments, serving families, couples, children, adults, and adolescents.
My therapeutic approach encompasses a spectrum of modalities, from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy to the creative realms of Dance Movement Therapy. I custom-tailor interventions, drawing from evidence-based practices, fostering a secure and nurturing space for exploration, expression, and profound healing.
My commitment extends to supporting trauma survivors, those navigating grief, individuals seeking mindfulness and self-care practices, and community support. Embracing inclusivity, my practice warmly welcomes individuals from various backgrounds and experiences.
Driven by empathy, respect, and holistic care, my therapeutic philosophy centers on recognizing the innate healing abilities within each person. I strive to guide them on their unique path of self-discovery, emphasizing the significance of establishing a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship.
Beyond my professional realm, I actively engage in community service and board participation, endeavoring to cultivate inclusive spaces and advocate for mental health awareness across diverse communities
Ishara Pinkney-lee | CLinical Counselor + Intake Coordinator
“Every day, I encounter people looking for support and guidance on this journey we call life. Please feel free to take that brave step forward toward the assistance you deserve and improve your life for the better!”
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as a Child and Adolescent development certification. I have 7 years of case management experience from servicing older adults in my community. In addition to my graduate program, I have accumulated professional mental health experience working with individuals, couples, families, and groups as well as crisis and trauma intervention.
I specialize in working with individuals experiencing loss and relationship issues, working with individuals, couples, and families to address family structure, loss, depression and anxiety management, and communication and healthy boundary development.
As of now, my therapeutic approach is dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), rooted in a combination of behavioral therapy and a humanistic approach to addressing client issues.
I have had the privilege to work with a wide variety of clients, as young as 8 years old to as experienced as 74. With this said, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families and have experience supporting these individuals dealing with LGBTQIA+ issues, depression, grief and loss, anxiety, and relationship issues.
My personal philosophy is upholding the practice of unconditional positive regard: the idea that all of us are doing the best we can with the tools we have at all times. Creating safety and security is the first step to developing a therapeutic alliance with my clients, the second is utilizing a strengths-based approach by encouraging them to be an active collaborator in the work we do and the skills they learn. Additionally, the Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz offers principles that I share with my clients as a way to put into practice a mindset that can offer freedom for many in times of mental and emotional strife. “Be Impeccable with Your Word, Don't Take Anything Personally, Don't Make Assumptions, Always Do Your Best.” - Don Miguel Ruiz
In my free time, I enjoy cosplay, video games, reading (when I have the focus to do so), learning about different cultures and folklore. I also enjoy watching movies and use media examples at times to illustrate relatable points in my work as a therapist.

Tinisha SCott |
M.A , Marriage & Family Therapy
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. I have 18+ years of experience working in the Mental/Behavioral Health field.
•I specialize in children and adolescents, but also serve a diverse population of families and couples. I am also experienced in serving the substance use population in all stages of treatment and recovery.
•My therapeutic approach to individuals is person centered, using mindfulness, reframing, and narrative techniques. Emotional and behavior regulation techniques are utilized with families as a promotion of emotional and family centered therapy.
•I enjoy working with at risk children and adolescents in an effort treat and support recovery from trauma, school struggles, and family issues and concerns. However, I am of service to all individuals, families, and couples experiencing any level of distress or disruption to their mental, emotional, and behavioral health.
•I believe everyone has a voice, and that voice deserves to be heard. Challenges, crisis, and life happens to us all, but with effective supports we can overcome and manage it. Sometimes that support is a simple listening ear. That’s the approach I take in therapy. I meet individuals where they currently are in their struggle, listen with an open, non-judgmental ear, and join with them to establish sensible and achievable goals.

Nafis Johnson | M. S. Community Trauma Counseling
My name is Nafis Johnson, a 38 year-old Philadelphia native. I am a proud graduate from Cheyney University (1st HBCU), and a Brother of the First African-American Fraternity in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.
While at Cheyney, I was able to obtain my Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, where I embarked on a journey of law enforcement. It was then that I wanted to shift the focus on the reasoning behind incarceration. In 2017, the decision was made to attend Jefferson University where I would complete my Masters in Community Trauma Counseling. While attending Jefferson, I discovered my passion for understanding the mindset of individuals, and came up with a “motto” which spearheaded my therapeutic mindset.
As a therapist, I believe we should never focus on “what” an individual is facing during their walk of life, but instead “why” they are reaching out for assistance. This motto aligned with my vision of therapy, and also how I conduct sessions. I put patience into sessions, which allow individuals a safe place to express themselves. Every individual is unique with experiences that shape their demeanor. I strongly believe that therapy could possibly identify triggers, and resolutions that create healthy well beings.
I specialize in the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach which allows individuals to manage their concerns by altering the way they think and behave. By altering your perspective on issues, it allows the individual to be creative with their way of healing versus thinking negatively.
I offer psycho-therapy with adults and adolescents across all ages. I assist individuals with relationship struggles, anxiety, depression, generational trauma, inner criticism (self-esteem improvement), often through self-understanding and self compassion. Within this scope, a large portion of my work is with individuals across the gender and sexuality spectrum.

“The part can never be well unless the whole is well.” (Plato)
I hold a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. I have been in the field for 6 years and have experience working with individuals in inpatient and outpatient levels of care.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents and adults. I have worked with children as young as 5 years old and adults who are 60+. I work with individuals with a variety of mental health needs such as depression, anxiety, trauma and grief/loss.
My therapeutic approach is person centered. I believe in creating a space in which clients are able to freely express themselves without fear of judgment. In addition, I ensure to provide psychoeducation and use of holistic practices to assist clients in achieving wellness. I also use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) within my sessions.
I have a strong passion for working with children and adolescents as much of my professional experience has been working within those populations. However, I also enjoy working with adults as well. I believe that clients are the experts in their own lives. Therefore, I focus on identifying and building strengths within a client to assist in confidence building to sustain wellness.
In my free time I love to watch movies and listen to music. I love poetry and reading. I enjoy traveling and having the opportunity to experience different cultures. I also love spending time with my loved ones and pets.
I look forward to working with you on your journey to healing. Wellness is a journey that can be challenging yet rewarding in many ways.
